According to The Athletic‘s Ken Rosenthal, the Cardinals have had between four and six additional positive results for COVID-19 between players and team staff after two players were announced as having tested positive on Friday.
On Thursday night, the Cardinals learned about two positive tests from player samples collected Wednesday which forced Friday’s game against the Brewers to be postponed. Players and staff were instructed to isolate in their hotel rooms in Milwaukee, and the club says it did not leave the hotel Friday for Miller Park.
St. Louis and Milwaukee are still scheduled to play a double-header on Sunday.
